I was considering subscribing to enterprise if that was what it took to get a working C4D plugin on BigSur ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

That’s so not cool. If it’s available for one tier it should be available for all tiers of paying customers.

It's available for subscriptions. Latest SDK releases are a big confusion, PR5's are seperately built for Catalina+Big Sur and plus for M1. They will bring all together after this period.

I do not see Big Sur C4D Plug-in available in my studio subscription. Only Catalina.

Thanks for the heads up. I downgraded to Catalina. Having issues now though. It's crashing every time I try to open live view. I'm using R23 maybe I need to go down to R20 on a Mac? I feel like I'm reading a bunch of different things.

the c4doctaneX PR5 for Big Sur has a typo in the name, and it is called “Regular”, but it is a Studio subscription instead.
So, it has been mistakenly loaded in the Enterprise section, instead of the Studio section of ther Downloads server.

The version should work with both Enterprise and Studio licenses (even if limited to max 2x GPUs without Net Render), here is the direct link for downloading it:

About c4doctaneX PR5 for Catalina, it is correctly available in the Downloads section for both Enterprise and Studio licenses:

OctaneX is stalling a lot for me running on a Mac Pro with dual RX5700XTs. It was fine(ish) on Catalina, but is almost unusable on Big Sur, because it just stops rendering, repeatedly, on any sort of scene, however simple. Anybody else getting this behaviour? Feels like I'm now paying Otoy to bug test this thing.

Are you running it on 11.0.1?

Big Sur 11.1 beta is not currently supported.

I've downloaded the plugin from the link and copied the files into the C4D R23 Plugins folder. I'm on Big Sur. However, when I load C4D R23, I get a message saying "c4doctane-r21.xlib" can't be opened because Apple cannot check it for malicious software". It also does this for the r22 and r23.xlib files. I had a look to see if there were any C4D updates, but R23 is the latest. Am I doing something wrong?

Sorry, ignore me! I realised I needed to tell the security settings that it was ok to load those libraries. All sorted.
