Caustics Catcher?

is there such a thing?

the Shadow Catcher material only catches shadows (i suppose the clue is in the name)

Hi, what's your scenario? Perhaps there is a more appropriate approach that could be considered. It's not solely about shadow. The name is slightly misleading for such a complex "material".
Caustics from a plate/HDRI are rather futile. The renderer can't make a use of them, aside from reflecting them on glossy assets, and will have to calculate them internally using renderer's lights and materials.

sorry for late reply

usual scenario is product render where caustics are reflected onto transparent ground. is there a way to capture these?
