Hi,
with "inside the pin" I mean that the pin in the node graph, is full colored, while the pin is empty if the node is connected externally, or if no nodes are connected to it.
In the particular case of the Kernel node, if no Kernel node are connected to the Kernel pin, internally or externally, the pin is empty, but the rendering is in wireframe mode (we have to enable at least one type of kernel by default, or the render target stay gray).

How do you get strictly the kernel node; I don't see any kernel node ?

Hi,
right-click anywhere in the node graph, then choose Kernels:

Why is your kernels node, simply named; kernels. While mine is named info channels kernel ?

Hi,
nothing special, because my kernel node has not been created from the drop down menu, but by right clicking on the Kernel icon in the Node Inspector, and choosing Expand:

Anyway, the name can be changed whenever you want in the Node Inspector:
