Hello,
I would like to update my workstation with some newer hardware so I was thinking about I7 8700K since I’m using AE and C4D pretty much where single core clock means a lot in everyday work.
Mainly I'm upgrading because of RAM, 32GB was not enough in few critical situations :)
For rendering I relay on Octane and Redshift so for GPU rendering I plan to have 1x1080Ti (got it in current WS) and 2x1070 Sea Hawk Hybrids.
Got 3x780Ti which I'm going to put on external rig and attach them to WS via riser card.
Not rendering huge 3D scenes with huge number of textures, nothing heavy.
Would this be a good config:

CPU I7 8700K
MBO ASUS ROG Strix Z370-F Gaming
RAM 64GB (4x16GB) PC4-24000 3000MHz CL15 Corsair Vengeance LED red, CMU64GX4M4C3000C15R
SSD 2x 512GB Samsung 960 Pro (one for system/caches other for project files)
GPU1 Asus Strix GTX1080Ti Gaming (got it already)
GPU2 MSI GTX1070 SEA HAWK X
GPU3 MSI GTX1070 SEA HAWK X

Not sure what would be difference between this MBO and ASUS ROG Maximus X Hero, price difference is 90€.

Current config (which still serves very good) is:
CPU I7 4770K
MBO Asus Z87 Pro
RAM 32GB DDR3
GPU1 Asus Strix GTX1080Ti Gaming
GPU2/3/4 3x780Ti (2 of them on 1x risers)
SSD 2x 500GB Samsung 850 EVO

If someone got similar upgrade what is your experience on speed gain?
Is there some downside of this new architecture for GPU rendering?
Thank you.

Best regards,

Z
