Hi there.

I had been using Octane for C4D V1.5 and I have updatet these days to V3.06.
Now there are some issues with my old scenes and I hope you can help?

See the attached pic for better understanding.

As an example I have a simple scene showing a floor and two elevators.
I used some materials from the Live-DB, a couple of area lights and an skyobject with an HDR, Rendermode GI + AO

Firstly I´ve loaded the scene and rendered it with 3.06.
As you may see it´s darker than the old render. I found out that turning off "surface brightness" on the light tag gets brighter lights (found no info about this parameter in the manual, so I don´t know exactly what it does). With "surface brightness" off the render gets pretty close to the old one but for some reason I still do miss shadows and AO in the new render.

Some ideas what I´m doing wrong?

Thank you in advance,

Andy

Check gimode in directlight kernel if you're using it.
