out of the box 980Ti scores 125-130, hybrids might go a bit more. 980Ti overall could be be pushed over 150, but stability becomes an issue, thus 140 under water is more realistic target for heavy everyday usage.

Thanks bro. Yeah, I'll leave them as is with no OC. My top 980Ti Hybrid is at 64° right now with a big render going. I really don't think I would ever want to push past that...

Hearing it's very unreliable so I haven't bothered ... I don't even know where to grab it to be honest. Would rather compare it with my scenes as the numbers seem to be bogus in the benchmark tool anyway.

No OC on a Hybrid card seems like a bit of a waste to me. 64° is nothing so you don't need to be worried about the temp.

But temps on a hybrid are not strictly about the GPU alone. Pumps have their limits, which I believe is much lower than the 85-95° that GPUs themselves start to have problems with...

Yo! I just hopped on Amzn (for another cat perch, actually) and saw that they now have EVGA 1080Ti Founders that is shipped from and sold by amzn, with Prime, for $699.99... Up until today, I only saw 3rd party ones, which were always over $800. Just thought I'd give folks the heads-up on this. ;)

Zoinks!.. I just looked again, for shits-n-giggles, and now they don't have them anymore (ships/sold amzn $699.99)! Did any of you snag a couple? They had 7 in stock when I posted that...

1080 Ti Comparitive Render Results Released

Postby andrew.utopia » Tue Mar 28, 2017 9:13 am

Hi All,

We've just finished up testing with the 1080 Ti GPUs. We plan on doing some tests with 3 and 4 1080 Tis running in the same system in the next week or so.

Please feel free to ask any questions.

Also if someone can link the above into this thread, there were a lot of people looking for this type of content - I don't own an Octane licence so am unable to post into that thread!
