Don't even know how to use it...
You can download it for free.
This is from the manual:

Altus Work Flow:
The Altus require two sets of inputs labeled with b0 and b1 rendered with different
sample seeds respectively.
The required AOVs are as follows:
RGB: This is the beauty render
ALB: This is an albedo AOV, unshaded texture AOV
VIS: This is the visibility of the geometry to the lights, a suitable AOV for this would be a
shadow AOV
NOR: Forward Facing Normals with bump map preservation
POS: World Position
CAU: Caustics AOV
There is a sample config file included with this installer.
/path/to/executable/altus.cfg
For help on input through the command line please use the help command
./altus help
There are two needed Environment variables for the altus.
altus_PATH: This will be the path to the executable
altus_LICENSE: This is the port@ipaddress/host of your license server. If you do not
have a floating license server please disregard this environment variable.

Just received an e-mail from one of the developers saying they are already in touch with Otoy and working on an integration. :D
Hope this will come true

Wow. The test results in the Chaos Group forums are pretty stunning.

This with Octane could really be a holy grail for animations.

I'm gonna try the demo later today (as long as I can get it setup before the halloween parties start  )

EDIT: Haven't been able to get it running :(

Thats impressive, if it can do what it says its a game changer. It would save thousands in hardware.

Im not sure Octane can output all the right AOVs. eg an albedo pass. It would be great if Otoy integrates it so that it works on behind the scenes on the using info already on the card.

Abledo output is in Octane 3. You can try it out in the web demo using the 'diffuse filter' render pass.
