Soooo, yeah, about those nested dielectrics. Previously you had said it would be looked at after 2019.1 and it's not even on the roadmap for the next version. Was this deemed a not worthwhile feature, so it won't ever be implemented? Just haven't gotten around to it? Forgot about it? some update would be nice, since it's something you specifically said you'd be looking at adding.

I agree, nested dielectric is just a must have feature for any fluid commercial work

Following up on YOUR statement saying that this would be looked at after2019.1 XB1, since, ya know, it's well after 2019.1 XB1

We’re feature locked with 2019.2 now, so the soonest we could get this in would be 2020.1 (already in progress with spectron update, OCIO/ACES, point attributes, better RTX + parity with Octane X nodes for Mac/iOS on AMD/Intel/iPad).

THANK YOU for the update Goldorack. :)

Please consider adding this into 2020.1, it's a feature that quite a few other users have requested (my original request was from 2015) as well as a feature that many of your competitors ***cough*** Redshift ***cough*** have had for years now.

I appreciate all of the tech improvements that the team have been doing lately but please realize that there are useful NOW STANDARD features that have just completely been overlooked, such as Nested Dielectrics and interactive Multilight (rendering out lighting layers and adjusting in Photoshop does NOT count as multilight). Taking Nested Dielectrics, for example, without it you pretty much aliened an entire market segment of studios and freelancers who do beverage product renders/commercials from using your software.

For what its worth I also think this is an extremely important feature to have :) I'm also very thankful for keeping us up to date Goldorak, thank you!

Bringing this up again, for 2020.2 , since 2020 is out and it didn't make it in.

I don't really understand why it's like pulling teeth to get this, now extremely old and extremely standard, feature added in. It's a feature all of your competitors added years ago and a feature which, not having, alienates entire studios from even considering Octane render as a viable option for a render program. This is a 5 year old request from multiple of your users and it just keeps getting ignored.
