» Reduced the volume of the export sounds (these sounds are activated when EXPORT DONE SOUND is set to ON).

» Fixed problem in the exporters that caused instancing data to be added to existing *.CSV files instead of removing the files and creating the data anew.

Working on a cool new feature for PER TRI-scatter mode. Wouldn't it be cool if you placed down the triangles in your scene and instead of using the variants to create different files, it'd create on seperate *.CSV file (with 1 placement in it) for every single triangle? That would placing around stuff like cars a lot easier through PER TRI.

» PER TRI-scatter: added option UNIQUE PER TRIANGLE under the VARIANTS function. Normally the variants are based on chance, which is ideal for achieving things like plant variantion. But sometimes you might would want to place around triangles for unique placements. This is especially handy for cars and architecture exterior/interior objects. So when setting the VARIANTS to UNIQUE PER TRIANGLE, it will output a *.CSV file for every individual triangle.

» Fixed problem that made the program crash when pressing the 'Cancel' button when browsing to a *.OBJ or image file.

1.11.0 is in the works, I've been developing an experimental exporter for PER TRI, it can export instances based off materials names alone, no need to make seperate scatter objects for this one. Should make placing interior objects around a hell of a lot faster! ;)

» Fixed problem in the AREA-scatter alternative exporter that caused existing *.CSV not to be cleared before exporting the new data.

» Fixed problem in the IMAGE-BASED scatter exporter that caused it to crash.

» Added new exporter EXPORT OBJECT DETECT under PER-TRI scatter. This special export mode works based on your material names. It is ideal for placing around objects that don't need randomization, such as chairs, tables, lights. Put 'object_' in front of the material name to make those triangles produce *.CSV instances. To create variants put 'object_XX_' in front of the material name where XX is the amount of variants (supports up to 20). See the manual for more information about this very powerful export mode.

» Huge improvements to the Octane XML node recognition codebase. This applies to communication between Phantom Scatter and Phantom Node Link.

» Nested groups are now supported, but make sure 'Geometry out' nodes are only on the main node, not in groups inside the main group!

» So you can use nested groups for material and texture works, but not geometry. Geometry has to be inside the main node and then have 'Geometry out' nodes that can be recognised by Phantom Node Link and Phantom Scatter. The amount of 'Geometry out' nodes here has to match the amount of variantes you want to export for the scatter object. Then it can all be linked up automatically.

» Fixed internal problem with the XML node regarding the 'id' property of elements inside the XML, causing all links between nodes to break.

» When exporting using EXPORT OBJECT DETECT (found in PER-TRI scatter) it will now be able to link up with Phantom Node Link and grab node data (if you rigged it up correctly in Phantom Node Link).

Update is in the works, I am expanding on EXPORT OBJECT DETECT for PER-TRI to basically supersede the old system. I've added new keywords that are recognised in material names, this will make placing objects a LOT faster and more comfortable. And you will be able to copy them around in your projects and save a ton of time.

New are '_flip_', '_z_' and '_scale_XX_' keywords.

So if you want to place a tree that has 5 variants, randomly XY-flips, does random Z-rotation and has a 10% random difference in scaling (90-110%) you'd call the material name of the triangles for example this:

object_5_flip_z_scale_10_tree

Easy as that.

Phantom Scatter 1.12.0 and Phantom Node Link 1.2.0 are as good as ready for release. I am doing some additional testing and then release is a go!

This big release will improve on a lot of things and expand on the EXPORT OBJECT DETECT export mode. Key new feature is called NIGHT STATE, an extremely powerful automatic function that makes it easy to have a day as well as night state for each linked object. No more messing around with nodes between day and night! Now you can give an object 1 Group, which will contain everything. The exporting algorithm will automatically sort everything out for you and creates 2 master Geometry groups: day and night.

In this case, object 'object_test2_variants_4_', which has 4 variants, has been given a Group containing 8 geometry outputs in Phantom Node Link. NIGHT STATE will then activate automatically on export in Phantom Scatter.

In the pic with the node result you can see it now gives the 2 master groups.

» When pasting nodes exported with EXPORT OBJECT DETECT (when COPY TO CLIPBOARD is set to ON) the nodes are now alphabetically sorted to make it easier to find things.

» Fixed orientation matrix calculation in standard PER-TRI as well as EXPORT OBJECT DETECT when a triangle is pointing straight up or down.

» Scatter nodes inside the COPY TO CLIPBOARD export are now exported on the same y-position as Geometry group nodes to make connection lines to the master groups more clean.
