Thought I'd want to post this up for anyone using C4D.
I don't often render using the render queue, and rather just render using the picture viewer.
However, in the latest project I'm working I'm using the render queue because I have multiple shots to render at a time and I'm seeing them rendering much faster than from the picture viewer.
For my scene, I'm rendering 45sec per frame as per the render time from beginning to save in the c4d picture viewer.
from the render queue I'm seeing 22sec per frame in the last frame time.
I'm noticing frames rendering quicker overall. Might be a hot tip for anyone who's on a deadline. I assume this is similar to the slight speed bump you get from after effects by not having picture update as you're rendering also! Maybe admins could chime in to validate my claim and it may be on a scene per scene basis but currently it's quite a noticeable speed increase.
