does anyone know?

i mean, will it 'just' be perfect outlines or can we modify stroke and other parameters like Blender Freestyle for example?

What anime kernel ? You mean the one that's been in development for centuries ?

It will never be released, it's just another 'trick' used by Otoy to sell licenses.... tease people with tech/features that never, ever arrive.

They are famed for doing this...

Has there been any new info on this? Like other people have said they have said this feature was around the corner since like 2018 and we still don't have it

It does feel like a straight lie told by Otoy about this feature at this point and I'll tell everyone who will listen to not even bother with octane anymore and just learn redshift since thats what Maxon is leaning into these days. I've been actually learning blender now because there toon features are so much more advance than anything c4d has to offer.

I actually dropped my 2nd RS license .. i’m not paying a full seat just for a render slave node!.. Come on Maxon.. sigh… I already have maxon one.. !!!! So went back to octane. Mac to PC rendering now just works! much less clunky than Redshift which needs to use teamrender or deadline types of setups.. and they can’t even figure out how to let you select PC RTX settings from the mac side since the mac doesn’t have it.. they got rid of the render settings check boxes! so you literally have to save the scene on the PC with the right rendering flags.. how dumb!

We get 10 render nodes on Octane and its seamless!… it just works. Happy using my mac studio with a PC & 4090 running headless in the corner as a 1 gpu render farm.. anything more i just use RNDR

I too hope to see the anime kernel eventually…!

dear Mr Urbach, is it really that hard to let your users know what is going on with a feature that has been bandied around for years now...

is Multi Render coming or not?
