Hi guys,

I am building a scene with Forester plugin and I am trying to use different type of trees in my scene. But as I increase number of trees and use octane scatter with it, my VRAM keep on decreasing :(

A)

For 1 forester tree added to Octane scatter and in octane scatter (count 10,00,000)

VRAM used : 1 GB

B)

Adding two different forester trees in Octane scatter with same number of count of 10,00,000

VRAM used: 3GB

C) For three different trees :

VRAM used 6 gb and so on..

By looking at this I think I will be out of VRAM pretty soon when I will add building texture and all.

So can anyone help me in reducing that Forester tree VRAM as it is really creating big problems for me :(

I am not able to reduce my VRAM by decreasing height of tree or anything else.

I have nvidia 3090 rtx 24gb card along with 144gb RAM.

Any help will be deeply appreciated :)

Thanks in advance :)

Hello.
I believe forester has a lowpoly version for each tree.
Try using that instead of the hipoly one.
P.S. I'm assuming you're using c4d. In order to get more help, post on that board instead
