Hi Lev, as mentioned, OCIO is a dedicated color-management "framework", or "system" if you prefer.
Therefore, a "look LUT" is possible via OCIO Looks (see OCIO Filmic by Troy.S).
One LUT can be produced and loaded in any custom OCIO package by "implementing it" in the OCIO configuration file.
This is not a user-friendly task, I understand, but that's the proper and appropriate option.

It is possible to implement more color-correction tools, however, at least two major elements are to take in to consideration:
• OCIO will no longer be standardized across applications - without OCIO Looks and by using color tools that are outside OCIO. This goes against the point of using OCIO, in a way.
• Octane will have to receive a deeper implementation of a linear "scene referred" 32 bit float "image manipulator" internally, similarly to a compositing software e.g. Nuke. Which is not a small task to do.
