Random Walk SSS Skin

I played around with a skin setup recently, using random walk scattering in the medium slot.
The results look pretty nice, but there is one minor issue around the eyeballs that I would like to get rid off...
The eyeballs shine through the skin. The eyeball spheres have a white specular material, which results in a reddish halo effect on the surrounding area of the skin. I could increase the density or reduce the radius of the random walk scattering, but it would be nicer to keep these settings and rather exclude the eyeball spheres from scattering. Can this be achieved somehow?
Thank you!
