Ok, thanks for sharing the scene.

Since both of you have mixed RXT/GTX GPUs, I think that this is causing the issues you are seeing.

I only have RTX GPUs on this machine, and if I import the pxlntwrk‘s material, everything works as expected:

Note that you could need to reload the scene after enabling RTX.

@19Nik90: please try to render with RTX GPU active only, and RTX option enabled.

@pxlntwrk: I have another issue with your scene, the result is constant, but the Dirt effect is weak, if RTX option is enabled:

I have noticed that the geometry is particularly big, so I have imported a mesh in cm, and it is working as expected, so it seems that the big scale is causing an issue with Dirt, if RTX is enabled:

If you decrease the Ray epsilon value, you can see the green coming in, but obviously the effect is ruined:

Since this is not related to plugin, but to SDK, I’m going to forward the .orbx scene to the devs for a check.

The good news is that the issue with Scale in Dirt + RTX is already solved in 2020.2-XB2:

Do you mind to export to Standalone 2020.2-XB2 in orbx format, to check if also the issue with mixed RTX+GTX is already solved?

Ciao Beppe,

Rendering only with the 2080ti and RTX ON the problem does not occur.
It's like you said, the mix with RTX GPU and not creates the problem.

Grazie

Hi,
Thank you, Beppe, for taking a look at the file.
I tested in both versions of Standalone, and the problem occurs well in version 2020-1.5 and no longer exists in version 2020-2XB2.

I also think that the problem appears with the large scale. but here I need large dimensions because they are the elements of a very vast landscape.
I am looking forward to the 2020.2 version in c4d.

thanks again for support
Ciao!

Thanks guys for checking!
I was quite sure about the scale issue, but I was not sure if mixed RTX/GTX was already fixed in 2020.2 SDK.
Nice to hear that it is already fixed.

The devs are working on a new c4doctane test version based on 2020.2 SDK, but as usual, when a new major SDK arrives, it is necessary more time to integrated it into plugins.
Stay tuned!

Happy GPU Rendering,
ciao Beppe
