When I am in Cinema 4D R18, I open the LiveDB viewer. Most materials will download instantly. However, there are a few that freeze C4D, then cause the plugin to crash, in turn causing C4D to crash. The one I know for sure that freezes up C4D is the LiveDB Non-Organic "Black Scratched" material. There are a few others, but I can't name them off the top of my head.

I have been trying to solve this issue, but I can't seem to get it figured out. I have uninstalled both the Standalone and C4D R18 plugin versions and reinstalled to try and resolve this issue. So far nothing has seemed to work.

Here are the specs for what I'm using:

Windows 10 64bit
Intel i7-6820HK @ 2.70 GHz
64 GB of RAM
Nvidia GTX 1070 8GB x 2 (with latest Nvidia drivers - 376.33)

Cinema 4D R18 (Build RB183317)

Octane plugin - 3.04.5-R2
Octane Standalone - 3.05.3

I read through that post a few times. I wanted to make sure the scene file and bug report were available to you with a few more details.

Thanks for report but It's a fixed issue on 3.05.3. Please try that.

I have the standalone version 3.05.3 and all LiveDB textures work perfectly in there ( a few preview thumbnails have an "X" for the image, but they work okay). It seems that the issue is only in the C4D plugin version.

You have to re-render thumbnails from standalone.

I just downloaded the newest version of Octane plugin 3.05.3 for C4D R18 and the issue LiveDB seems to be resolved!
