Awesome!

Still having an issue with GSG's HDRI Link. It wont link.

Any ideas?

SOLVED

Replaced the GSG HDRI Link folder with the exact same build 1.054 (freshly unzipped) and it worked.

Something must have happened during unzipping the first time

You can do actually. Add new folders under the Res/osl_scripts then you'll find as new category. Thanks!


Confirmed, it works after restarting C4D. The folder should not be empty though.

Categories are a great idea, thanks to both of you @Studio21 for asking the right questions and of course you Ahmet for implementing them so quickly. I was going to ask for something like this.

I appreciate you including mm_ImageTexture.osl, it was a pleasant surprise since I missed your post. I'm planing on improving it a bit soon and I'll make a proper topic with proper usage info.

Also, my work got in the way so my plans to update Raytype topic regularly got derailed but I already have material for more posts collecting dust, so I'll be back there soon with more examples.

Hello,

i experience a lot of crashes (see octane log attached) when working on a med-complexity scene which use around 15 different octane materials. Somme of these materials are converted from substance-assets (perhaps the source of the problem ?). Octane (not c4d) crashes after 4-5 operations (material assign or light tweaking), so vry quickly ! impossible to work in these conditions...
The crashes happens both with 3.08.4 & 4 beta R5... I don't gather it is an hardware problem : with simplier scenes, all works very well... and i use redshift too, wich almost never crashes on such scenes. I've removed other plugins, but the crashes are still here...
Working on c4D R19.068, win1064, 3xGTX1070
i can send you the scene with assets, but in private mode, if it helps...
Please help !!... :)

V4 is not yet solid as 3.08.4. Did you applied the instructions from first page of this topic about crashes?

but as said on the previous reply, the bug happens very quickly with octane 3.08.4 too on this scene (the same scene, with materials done on v4)...

Having an issue with the VDB volume object. It loads the VDB seq fine, once activated it hangs and causes a forced restart of C4d every time.

The attached project starts with the VDB off, once you activate it you'll see what I mean. (included VDB Seq)
