There seems to be an issue with the Fisheye lens in the universal camera. When you use Full frame for the fisheye type, what you see in the live viewer doesn't match the picture viewer. Seems like the camera is further out in the the picture viewer render.

Thank you for this useful info! I could have really used it a month ago but will use in the future. Would also be good to have the option in the Environment tag someday too. The current Backplate option seems misnamed in the Environment Tag. It's an important visible to camera environment option that's independent of the lighting environment, yes, but not literally a backplate, which, as in the name, is flat like a plate. Having all three options there would be excellent.

Until now I realized C4D background object is not exported to Octane SA.

I'm curious how you using C4D background object because it completely doesn't work for me. Why not to use Octane environment texture instead ?

Thank you Aoktar for fast update !

C4D background object can be used and be useful in some cases - I use different backgrounds techniques according to my needs. I like to blend the background everytime I can to avoid alpha glitches in photoshop.
In the image I show how I use the background object:
it allows you to use 1 environment object for lightning, 1 environment for reflection, refraction, and the C4D background for guess what... background.
I never made it to use 3 Octane environments for light, reflection, refraction and background. It's not perfect but this would be one way to do it. There are other ways.
Regards,

It looks really nice! I also find this Silverwing rig very useful! I use it oftenly: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q6BEgb9GmK4&
Would you sell it? I am interested.

Yes it will be ready soon, some features need corrections and it will be connected with Camera Auto-Exposure rig to have them all in one interface.

In C4D 2024 (Win), when dragging multiple images to the Node editor from Explorer to create ImageTexture nodes, only the last selected image is added.

What's the file names? It's working well here

Octane freeze immediately using UV coordinate node in this setup :

uv_coordinate_crash.jpg

and just after when something in UV is changed.

Really there is no chance to disable this auto sub-sampling switching after some seconds of lag ?

By luck, I think I found the cause. The file names end with the material channel names, i.e. _normal.jpg, _roughness.jpg, etc.

It looks like in Settings > Nodes, the 'PBR textures' value is set to 'Auto detect + connect' by default. Changing it to 'None' results in the expected behavior.
