Two bugs I found:

If you add a spline with an ObjectTag to a cloner the hair tab disappears

also the hair with 1/1 thickness on any spline doesn't seem to be calculating correctly:

How do you you say something is bug? Without defining something programatically that Will not appear magically. İt requires something is supported. Support your posts with better info like adding pictures which shows your setup or example scenes.

Simply adding a spline object inside a clone with the ObjectTag attached or attached to the cloner makes the Hair tab disappear:

Have you tried putting the Octane Object tag on the cloner directly?

Indeed. Fortunately, it does retain the hair values when you copy the tag over. Please file a support ticket so we can get this into our tracking system: [email protected]

I believe I found a bug. It seems that I can't plug the DIRT or CURVATURE node into the bump channel. I recall this being available in previous version? Please see image.

1. with texture straight into bump
2. dirt map solo for visual
3. dirt plugged into bump channel, but no bump in render

thanks for all the hard work!

Have written about it some months ago without answer...
Did somebody figure it out how to force these nodes work in Bump channel?

As one data point, the Hair tab remains accessible for me, and renders as expected.

... I take that back. Free-hand spline objects work fine, but the pre-defined spline objects do lose their Hair tabs.

Hi Frank,

If you use a Connect object with Octane Object tag, before the Cloner, you don't need to freeze the spline primitive:

Ah, nice! Thanks, Beppe. I don't think I would have thought of that. Do you know what the internal logic of it is? Is there something about the procedural curves that is "indeterminate" so the Octane Hair tag can't get its hooks in, but the Connect object "force bakes" the curve? I like to have a working theory of "Why" that may help solve future issues.
