Hi Samsue,
thanks. I can replicate your crash, I sent my report to the developers.
It seems depends on the Corona displacement map in wood_planks_tbykeacs material; deleting it no more crashes occurred.

I have strange color and transparency bug with this version. Worked on an old scene and changed the wooden material. A few months ago all was nice with the scene.

Now with current version the PNG saves some kind of transparency to the wood. It's just a glossy material.

I also tried TIFF but the black is completely washed with hard jagged edges.

What's going on here?

EDIT: When I press "port to max framebuffer" and save from there to PNG it looks better. But the strange hard shadows are still there.

EDIT2: I figured out the bug. It's the denoiser. When I disable denoising I can press the "save image" button and it saves to PNG fine.

If the devs need the scene I can sent them to you.

Hello,
I don't know if this is a bug of the plugin.
Using different values with Mesh UV Projection works fine in 3ds max. But when I export the object as orbx and open it with standalone, changing the UV set doesn't affect the mapping. Octane seems to ignore it and uses only the default value.
Thanks in advance.

Hi Nick73,
are you referring to material UV transform? It seems to work.

Hi mbetke, I have not issue using denoiser. Have you this issue using old scene only?
Could you tell me, opening an old scene, checking the Octane version in Render Setup > Tools > "Current scene" panel

Its 8010500 - 1019 - Max version:2021

Seems it is the current version. I saved my old scene of course after I made the modifications to the old scene. Just had to change the color of the shed for my client.

Hi mbetke,
have you any other old file like that?

It happened the second time. First time I thought I did something wrong and didn't pay any more attention to it. So I don't remember the file.
Will keep an eye open if it happens again.

But as you like I can send you the current scene.
