First play with rtx and upgrade from v4.

Pleased with the rtx speed up.

However, confused by the AI up-scaling feature.
Is there any instruction from the Octane team on how to use it and what the sliders actually do?

So far I get;

no up-sampling = clear image
2x2 up-sampling = quicker but blurred
4x4 up-sampling = really fast but very, very blurred/unusable

Think I'd get better results upscaling in photoshop or am I missing something?
Certainly not getting anything like the Otoy images of the orange quad bike.

Is there something else I'm supposed to do to find what the AI has been doing?

Hi Rik,
you should use it together with Denoising. It could help in animation or try to render a larger render, then shrink it.

Ah. So you need to have AI denoise on as well?

Great, seeing awesome results now thanks.

This just might save my job over the next few weeks for the movies I've been asked to make.

Any top tips on how to tie all this together and make sure there's no flickering noise in the animations?
