Hi mbetke,

Thanks for the scene and for your help investigating this issue.
For other users using the Anima plugin, I'll summarize our results:

-Motion blur works fine with the normal renderer (Production render)
-Issues can appear when using Octane Viewport with motion blur, that can affect the normal render later.
-When issues appear, it can be fixed with those steps:
-Press the Reload button on the Anima object ('Project' rollup).
Pressing Reload should also shows a 'Anima Material Adapter' dialog, just press Apply Materials.
(or press Rebuild Material if the dialog didn't appear)

-Just after this Reload / Rebuild, save your scene, and reload it. This seems to help the cleanup.
Normal render with motion blur should be fine from this point.

Anima plugin uses a special way to update the animated texture and works differently with and without motion blur.
We will keep investigating to improve the problem with Octane Viewport.

The recommended workflow to use motion blur for now would be:
-Enable motion blur only for setting the motion blur parameters (duration, shutter time, etc), disregard the wrong texture that can appear.
-Disable motion blur while working on other aspects of your scene. (fix the issue with the previous steps)
-For your final render with the normal renderer, re-enable motion blur

Thanks

I think 90% of the people who do animation on Octane use AO and not Direct Kernel, let alone Path-tracing. Looking forward to the Brigade.
