Octane Object Layer 4.00.00.03 bug?

Hi Simon,
Trying 4, and it is seeming really nice. Thank you for the hard work.

Maybe I am missing a simple setting......

The image shows objects with Octane Object Layer Modifier on the Right.
Same objects with the same materials on the Left.

Turning on/off shadows makes no difference on Left.
Without the Object Layer functioning, I have no way to turn off shadows for objects, correct?

Updated Nvidia to 417.01. (Separate side question: is my Cuda automatically updated through the latest Nvidia update?)

Thanks for your help,
Rick

Looks like a problem with the Light Pass Mask in the Octane Object Layer. The masks should all be set by default. Looks like they are not set in your project so none of the light sources (including (E)nvironment) are lighting the geometry. I need to fix the object layer modifier so they are set by default.

Ok, I posted a new updated plugin here.

The default light mask for newly create Object Layers and pre-4.0 projects should now be set properly. This will not fixed projects you have already saved with the 4.0 plugin. You will need to manually set the light mask check boxes in the object layers for any project you saved using 4.0.
