well it's not just your plugin, its Octane standalone too that won't work with those later drivers so Otoy and Nvidia need to talk unless scrapping support for Win7 was the decision, I hope not as upgrading on this rig at least is unlikely, I may get a new WinX rig with a better card/s one day and transfer my Octane to that but not this year

the issue with Nvidia drivers has been solved roughly after one week, so probably you are having other issues, or have a wrong installation.
Please write to [email protected] explaining your issue in detail, to have a direct support. Please mention that this is an issue with the standalone as well as the plugins. I have no other power to resolve this except to keep up with the patches issued by OTOY.

If you have a V4 license then you can try it out for a limited time...

Security hates it but I got it through, added to allowed in firewall too
was working
until today
having the Octane folder in extensions crashes Carrara release build to desktop after the splashscreen
but
I can use it with the public beta after cut and pasting the folder to extensions there
not ideal but workable
I would really like to solve this
I suspect it is another Carrara plugin in extensions as usual, I will try a few others in that beta and see if one causes the crash with Octane present
I had to forgo Architools already on this computer as it also did this as did the latest Mimic plugin, an old one works
suggesting anything else I could try would be very welcome

I'm really, really behind the times, but I finally got a chance to come back to my old hobby, and playing catch up. Just installed version 4 after upgrading and it works great! Loving the denoiser function, just wow! Thank you very much for the hard work! Now I'm curious what the heck version 2019 is and what it offers that's even better than 4, especially as I can't even imagine how this could get better

trying that free DAZ studio one at the moment as my Or2 one would not install on my new machine
i got Carrara one working on my 8.5 beta btw
have different plugins not liking each other isolated between the two builds, it seems to be a Carrara quirk
