object layer shadow visibility awesome

I recently stumbled on the object layer shadow visibility untick option under modifiers in OR3 for Carrara or effects in 2 and it is bloody brilliant!
All my Daz/Poser skydomes, closed in rooms needing ambient light etc are now useable :)
I never realised this option existed
am sharing in case anyone else missed it 8-)

Yes, very useful.
I used to rely on "turning off shadows" in Carrara native renders. Like you, very relieved to find the Octane equivalent.

Example: When I have something like water on a surface drops in Octane, I pretty much must turn off the shadow visibility. If not, then the water looks black. Not sure if
there is some other adjustment to look at.

Or...here was a problem. The sclera layer on an eye was blacking out the eye.
