Hi Simon,
I just installed this latest version, and it is not rendering.
I am only seeing an empty grey render viewport. Have tested several files, including a new file. Have also restarted.

dual zeon
win 7
Nvidia cards:
GTX 970, 980, and 2 Titan X

nvidia graphics driver: 376.33

Thanks for your help,
Rick

Runs fine with me.
Did you update to SDK 3.08 stable?

Hi Eddy,
Pardon my ignorance, but isn't the SDK for softaware developers?
You think maybe it has some bearing on the plugin?

Hello Rick,

you are right.
I mixed it up with the stand alone version.
The Stable version was published two days before 3.08.00.41

20. Apr. 2018: viewtopic.php?f=24&t=66875
22. Apr. 2018: viewtopic.php?f=79&t=56881&start=100#p336544

Is the standalone working?
Are the devices enabled/recognized?

Using the benchmark.orbx file, the latest StandAlone 3.08, is not working.

StandAlone 3.03.04 was able to render the benchmark file.

The Carrara plugin does not show any devices, nor the ability to enable any devices.

Hi Simon,

Update:

The good news: I got the new version to work by downloading and installing the latest Nvidia driver. Both StandAlone and Plugin now work.

The not so good news: Rendering is not right, at least for several tested files. I have put together a some images within a .pdf to show you a comparison. Additionally, I have included 2 .car files for your analysis.

Thank you for your help. The new version looks promising. Seems faster?

Rick

Hi Simon,
Are there any other files I can provide for this? I realized the HDRI may not have come through in my export.
