Alembic question

Hi Simon,
I am trying to export a Carrara animation for import into Blender. My goal is to use my Blender Octane plugin to develop the file further.

What are the steps to do this?
I have exported .ocs and .orbx files which open in the StandAlone.
They look correct, but there is no timeline or sequencer in the SA to check the animation.

So:
how do we play an animation in the SA?
how do we export an animation in Alembic from the SA?

Thanks for your help,
Rick

In Carrara you need to Generate the animation so that you are in ‘Animation Mode’ before you export to orbx.

OK, thanks.

But, now how do we export an .abc file from the SA?

You don’t. You import the .abc into blender, if blender supports importing .abc files. You should ask on the blender plugin forum to see if the blender plugin supports importing .orbx files. I don’t know blender.
