Will OTOY offer the 2081.1 versions of OR to students at a discounted price?

Hey, paride,
I would be using mostly the DAZ Studio plug-in.

Thanks.

I heard that there might not be any student version of, but things might have been changed since that.

From another perspective, 20$ subscription per month is actually pretty reasonable price for software so even if we end up not seeing student version, it's still an option out there to consider, without investing few hundred or thousands into full licence or few years of subscription upfront.

I beg to differ...
"Renting" and "owning" are two fundamentally different terms. 2018.1 and 2019.1 will only be rented out to license holders - there will be no real ownership as it was the case with V4.
I also would have much rather payed a one-time-fee in order to decide to which version I'd have upgraded, instead of being forced into a subscription-based-model.
Otoy's move here might not have been the smartest one, as it is actively scaring away hobbyist / semi-professional-level-users...
