than you paride, you are so nice, but dosen't say how i can configurate both differents card becouse if you are in the first slot x16 the quadro fx1700 and the four slot x16 gtx1080 oc 11 gb, the motherboard dosen't recognize the fx1700, only the gtx1080 and the s.o. disable the driver quadro and install the driver gtx1080
i can't use both cards for this detail of driver
maybe you know more about this step ?
i use asus p9x79 motherboard

Hi merid888,
I personally would send your fx1700 retired.

As long as you can find NVidia drivers supporting all cards you intend to use you should be good as long as you don't use that old Quadro FX1700 with Octane as it won't be supported as the latest versions require a card with at least compute capability 3.0 and this card supports CC 1.1.

In general you may combine any number and type of cards in the same system as long as they match the requirements stated here:

Hi merid888,
What Mojave said is correct, but you would like to use that graphics card with 3dsMax and unfortunately it will suck with latest versions 3dsMax viewport, I can assure you.

Actually I just want to use the FX1700 to be able to move objects and textures in 3dsmax, not to render within octanerender, thank you very much for your response, very friendly both
