No C4D plugin with Student License?

Hello there,

I am super curious about using Octane for Cinema 4d, but it doesn't seem like it is possible to activate the Cinema 4D plugin with the current v1.2 for students?

I really hope this isn't the case, and that I just misunderstood something since I really don't want to buy the full version before I have checked out the software to see if I can make use of it.

This could might be due to some backwards compatibility issues, but it is also an issue that you can test out the program before having to buy it - especially being a poor student :)

Cheers,
Mads

Hi,
not all the integrated plugins are available for the student licence, only the plugins developed internally could be used with a student licence, like 3Ds Max, Maya, Blender and AutoCAD.
Other plugins are created and maintained by external developers that couldn't have enough power to participate to the student licence program.
Anyway you can test the C4D plugin demo first:

Thanks for the swift reply, Beppe!

I'll give the demo a go, and hopefully it will showcase the product nicely. I can then see if I will invest money in it when I finish my studies :)

Thank you!
