Glossy skin

I'm newbie using Octane. I'm using Daz Studio 4.6 for modeling, and then export the OBJ to work it in Octane. I have two questions.

1.- Skin looks very realistic, but how can I control glossy skin? Increase the brightness of skin

2.- How can I use the same configuration of materials in the following scenes that using the same models?

Thanks in advance.

Hi Leo,

1) If you could post the material settigs you have so far that would be great.
2) I'm not exactly sure what you are trying to do. Are you wanting to update the OBJ file (like the next frames of an animation) and keep all the materials connected?

Thanks
Chris.

Thanks for respondig.

1.- Attach pics. All skin areas have the same settings. I see diffuse, bump, opacity but can't find specular or highlight, that would allow me to control the brightness of the skin.

2.- Yes, something like an animation. I understand that each frame is a OBJ. But I don't want to make the settings of materials in Octane for each frame...

Change the material type from diffuse to glossy.
The Diffuse will not have any reflection/specular.

Take a look at the manual here for information about matierals: http://render.otoy.com/manuals/Standalone/?page_id=292

If you want to load a new obj with the same material names, then use the tools marked in red on the screenshots.
Here i exported two objs from blender with the same material names, just the position of the sphere had changed.

I clicked the first icon marked by red (the little drive with the up arrow), to selecte a new obj file.
Switching obj file keeps all the materials connected to the existing nodes.
