Script to Load HDRI from file

Hello. I have been trying to finish a task I have in my Octane project with the help of this forum, but despite trying to work with/change all the scripts on this topic in the skript repository I have not managed to make it work.
What I am trying to do is to use script to add HDRI Skybox to a Unity scene rendered in Octane, but to do it based conditions set in an external file, not to make the user choose with a dialog window. It feels it should technically be easier/shorter than what the other scripts here do, but I keep getting various errors. Is there any easy way to do so?
My script correctly jumps to the "texture environment" node, but I have trouble with the files. Should I use octane.file.fopen or the lua version?
Also any idea why when usint the load sIBL script it works when loading skybox from desktop, but not when they are placed within the project(there I get cannot open file, no such file or directory)?

Any ideas or help greatly appreciated.
