@kaiwas
Hi kaiwas,
the way to get it in 3dsMax is to create the metal wanted in SA with lua script;
save the material in LocalDB and then import this into 3dsMax.
You can not change the values of the lua script (N / K), but the material will work perfectly.

A complete IOR list

You can use the indices in this list in the specular material node for things like glass or liquids. The values for metals are not useful because it doesn't include the K values.

This inadvertently brings out an issue with the forums... there has to be a better way to deal with updates for stuff like this. maybe not something on the forums itself? maybe another module on the site that has a repository or library of scripts, materials, etc? Just a thought.

Totaly agree. I've tried to pick up some lua knowledge here, but the majority of the old tutorial scripts don't work anymore because of infrastucture changes.

Hi! So is there any info about if complex IOR will be supported by Octane standalone, and therefore by c4d plugin for example?

Thanks!
