A stand-alone version of Octane Render Cloud Edition engine

Is there a way to access the octane render cloud engine directly, without having to use it as a plug-in in one of the supported 3d modelling suites? I think you made announcements before, that this will be available through an API of some sorts. So at what stage of readiness is it now?

Thx.

It should show up in the system tray for windows Octane Cloud AMIs next week. We'll make a formal announcement once it's officially live.

Hello. :| Hope someone reply.
Here we are it is February 2014.
Is it working already ? if so , How do I launch Octane render on it ?
I only have access to Autodesk trials.
Could figure How to run an instance , thanks to an Autodesk Area step by step tutorial this Week.
Also have some doubts on How can octane be rendering faster, and What one has to do to take advantage of the several instances , gpu etc...

Please contact Jax for instructions. It only takes a minute to launch the CE version from a Windows AMI but it has to be done manually for the moment.

Likewise, I would like the instructions to launch the CE of Octane Render as the workstation ami and the workstation autodesk edition don't seem to have it.

PM is just fine for me too.

Thanks

How does one access the Octane Render Cloud Edition from Amazon's AMI's?

Trying an alternative; installing the Octane 1.5 demo on a G2 instance - accessing that instance via Teamviewer after installing the appropriate GRID drivers etc - doesn't work. (Octane displays splash screen then immediately quits).

(The Indigo render works this way though and recognises the K520 Grid - doesn't seem particularly fast however)

Also tried the official OTOY "streaming" AMIs - the Autodesk one works but performance very poor (access from South Africa - granted network connection is not the fastest but RDP with the same instance works much faster.. through the same connection)

Any help would be much appreciated would be much appreciated :-) I'm sure everyone would really like this to succeed.
