Yes, there have been delays in releasing a new demo. For those eager to try Octane Render for free, the current demo based on beta 2.46b has most of the functionality of the commercial version, this would help anyone to evaluate Octane performance and make very promising renders already.
We update the demo versions sporadically. Other than the direct light renderer mentioned in this thread, we are adding a lot more features and it is in our intention to showcase these new features by the time we release another demo.
Keep a reasonably cool head and try to post only useful comments...
