As a Daz user, I say "Beautiful idea!"
But, this has limited use, and I'll tell you why - "ONLY STATIC MESHES ARE SUPPORTED".
You can't import an animation (FBX, ABC) and then shape the real-time flame from that animation, which leaves lot off the 'table of use'.

Now, what you can do is record a smoke sequence /cache interacting with a box and then export that to Octane, and then replace the box with a non-moving Daz statue and *hope* that the flame / smoke you made looks good. The light/shadow, though, will be computed from Octane, so it will interact with the figure correctly. But if jumping or swing a sword, no dice, the smoke plume will be that of the box, not the actual moving-shape figure. You would have to move a primitive mesh to approximate that. But again, you can't match a mesh to the moving figure in Daz and then import that mesh into Embergen because you can't import the mesh-animation in the first place, so you are gambling a little.

I am curious is it possible that Otoy provide similar tools that can easily simulate water(swiming pool water or sea), grass or carpet kind of things.

Yes...

Fabric movement with wind direction would be awesome.

I will add this - the temp on your main GPU will go to full temp (84+ Celsius) in render mode, it is similar to rendering with your main GPU in Octane, non-stop. So you may need to give it a rest here and there, especially if you have other applications open.

REPORT:
1) I can't open an OBJ Mesh file of a Daz character, it never seems to signal that it was imported, and I can't connect the node.
Mesh size is 4Mb.

2) Trying to import repeated times crashed Embergen.
It did ask if I wanted to save, and I could save.
I also found I could use the File and Edit Menus, but the app was frozen, so Undo or Pause/Reset sim did nothing.
My GPU temp was also dropping, so I could see sim operation was not active behind the scenes somehow, meaning there was a true pause/freeze.
It also would not close, I had to disable the process.

3) Following crash (above #2), it would not load.
It did allow me to enter credentials but then did not proceed to load, just had a blinking cursor in the Command-Prompt looking thing, which never proceeded...it did not spell out "Embergen" with characters.
As Workaround, I closed out, started again.
When the the credential entry box appeared I X'd out of it, and then it closed out with the message 'Not Licensed', or something.
So Then, when I next attempted load, and entered my credentials normally, it then proceeded to open.

SUGGESTION
-Scale Mesh - You have Primitive Mesh "Length, Width, Height", make it so we can adjust the Scale all at once, like in Octane how you can lock the aspect ratio or lock the LxWxH, because right now its just separate controls for each.

I'm a little bit confused with license system.

If I Upgrade my legacy V4 perpetual licenses to 2020.x perpetual licenses (upgrade to OctaneRender Entreprise + 1 year annual maintenance --> 499.00 €), will I have access to all DCC plugins and to a full commercial license of EmberGenFX standalone at no extra cost ?

Thanks for your help...

Chris.

If you upgrade, you will have access to all DCC plugins. As stated by Goldorak:
Goldorak wrote:A full commercial license of EmberGenFX standalone is now available at no extra cost - to all OctaneRender 2020 subscribers during the public beta.

Upon final release, OTOY subscribers will have the option to upgrade to the full EmberGenFX suite, featuring direct integration of EmberGenFX (and later LiquiGenFX) across all OctaneRender DCC plug-ins - including Blender, Maxon Cinema 4D, 3DS Max, Maya, Unity, Unreal, Nuke and many more.
