Have you enabled Beauty Denoiser pass in render passes? If you Use Imager settings panel in 3d view don't forget to check Override otherwise it will use Imager setting from active Camera tab.

NVLink has been supported since Octane version 2018, but this won't work in free tier version as it supports only one GPU.

Well I am not interested in the free tier..only at Blender 2.80/81...but seems the only up2date thread here (o;

I just recently switched to 2 * RTX2080Ti....and only read about E_Cycles coming with 2.81 and OptiX support...

So time to get me a NVlink bridge then and hope a Blender 2.81 commercial version will be released soon for Linux ;-)

Thanks for the help. I found out the problem it was something different tho. Whenever I had the Denoiser Beauty selected as a preview pass type. It did not work in the F12 render.

Hi,

First of all I'd like to thank all at OTOY who gave us this awesome renderer to use for free. It's faster than Cycles, even on this old GTX 750 Ti I'm using. I've been testing it since it came out, and yesterday afternoon saw its heaviest use. Then I tried to use it again in the evening and then got an error telling me to check the console for detailed error messages. How do I fix this?

Please disregard my previous post as Octane started working again. I guess my problem had something to do with a pending Windows 10 update, and after updating I decided to test Octane again and it started rendering! :D

This is what I was working on yesterday before Octane stopped working. I needed to create a pig skin shader, and this is what I came up with.

Hey, is it possible to run octane within a Steam version of Blender? I choose to use that version so I get updates automatically. I assume that there are plenty of files within that "octane" client that are necessary to run the renderer and it wouldnt work if grabbed the ones in the add-on folder?

No. OctaneRender for Blender is packaged with its own special build of Blender.

No, it's not possible. You need the special OTOY Blender build to run Octane.

Where´s the local database? I can setup the path in preferences but I cannot see it anywhere
