I guess it's time to take out my feature-request pen, and start making notes...

Why don't you start a request thread in the customer general discussion forum and present some other useful node ideas. We can't promise we can implement them all right now but it we can definitely interpolated community node requests with the list of nodes planned for development during the next few weeks by our new dev...

Will do.

I have mentioned bits here and there (math ops, boolean logic, list of loaded images, hsv node...), mainly in this thread, but I'll compact all the ideas (also those picked up from others) in one thread - just give me some time.

Just try to think more low level, eg basic building blocks that can be used to create more elaborate functionality is preferred.

For example, a node that holds multiple images and has a dropbown selection box to use a specific image is handy, but its more powerful to supply a switch node with dynamic inputs connected to textures, and an integer output node with a drop down selection box allows you to create a macro that does the same, aswell as many other possibilities. (for example it can be used to create presets for the render kernel too :) )
These are already on our list btw.

those would be truly great, also a global scale controler, say you use a float 2 with x=1 and y=0.1, and I would like an external pin controler to change the scale in several generators but keep that proportion without the need to change both at the same time.
Also, I've been having some problems controling 3D generators, cause when it behaves correctly in xy it doesn't in xz so some type of 3d to 2d relation controler would be great.
and tiles..... (I think I've mentioned before)

Hi,

Thanks Octane Team!

Congratulations to Matej, Kubo and all participants!
I am happy that LiveDB is thriving and we have many high quality materials to share.

Hey,

I have started a topic for discussion of proposals for new nodes here:

Feel free to discuss, and suggest other ones.

They are in the livedb server through octanelive in commercial versions of octane (2.4 releases)
