Hi all,

We're proud to announce that Marcus, better known on our forums as 'abstrax', is joining Refractive Software as a software developer.
Marcus will become head of the New Zealand office software development team and coordinate it's developers aswell as develop the application and core engine itself,
in order to build an autonomous development group, while we build our LA based development offices.

Marcus will start full-time as of 1 december 2010, in approx 10 days.

Although Marcus has been active in the OctaneRender community as a user and developer of the C4D plugin since 5 months,
he will now be part of the core software development team, and continue to develop the C4D exporter alongside.

Here's some background information about Marcus as quoted:

What I have done the last years?

- I have worked in department for numerical simulation of European Aeronautic
Defence and Space Company. Developed an automatic feature extraction and
visualisation toolkit, running on a distributed data cluster.

- Worked as technical support at MAXON GmbH.

- Written several plugins for CINEMA 4D, including the Octane Exporter.

- Worked at Navman Technology Ltd. as software developer on routing, guidance
and map display for consumer navigation devices.

I hope that's enough about myself.

Let's all welcome marcus, aka 'abstrax' onboard and make his start at Refractive Software an easy one. :)
