..instead of making some 'Rules' & asking devs for dates (that they could not give), You could do some help, by spreding the word about Octane & motivating creators to push harder (even if they are doing their best).

Once a wise man said: Do the best you can, where you are, with what you have, now. (& leave devs to do their own bussiness) 'Cos now You're just spoiling their time, against Your own good, with all this demotivation.

Can someone pin this on top of every Forum here, in big red letters?

I take it that rendering with displacements maps on will be done in Path tracing and all other render modes, right?

Litlle curiosity about the upcoming New features in the amazing release of a 2.0 version of Octane sometime this year :
I wonder if Hair Fur inplementation will have dynamics capabilities.
Will the plugins also have it ?
So far I am rendering Hair and fur as a separate pass if it does ,have dynamics,
otherwise I just convert it to Geometry.
I understood it will be a much lighter and efficient solution When 2.0 comes .
;) Does anyone know more about it ?if not ,no problem at all, just curious ok ? :?:

Octane is just a rendering engine, it doesn't have any dynamics built in, so you will have to animate your hair in your 3D application, and then export them in alembic format.

Great ! That's good enough for me , as I've understood, dynamics simulation would get exported via Alembic
or maybe the new Exporter for the 3ds max plugin.(I use 3ds max 2014/15)
Thank you for the info.
