This is what I've been waiting for as a Carrara user for about 2 years now. We can continue to use Carrara for scene set up / animation and modelling, leaving a much faster and more competent render engine to show our work.

Add me to the list of Beta testers please.

I've bought Octane and the Daz interface to practice in the meantime.

As a long time Carrara user I am glad to see you are doing this and I will be a definite customer of your great product. Hand in the air volunteering to be a Beta tester.

I've currently been using DAZ3D for the past almost-a-year. I own Carrara, which I know is more advanced, but one of the things that keep me using DAZ3D is the OctaneRender plug-in. OctaneRender is an amazing product which I love using. If you make a version for Carrara, I'll certainly move on to Carrara. Thank you!

Thanks for all the enthusiasm people! I am in the midst of a major API change at the moment so I won't have anything to report for a few more days. On top of that we will be having a house guest for a week who will be occupying my office. All considering, I am planning on posting some more info on the Carrara plugin in a couple of weeks. Stay tuned...
