You can post here the common questions, it is the right place for them.
The issues reports are not "common" as they are bound only to specific versions (and in next version they may be fixed), so these should be posted in version threads...

PS. It seems that unobservant blender users have noticed nothing in my previous screenshots.

Just been reading the Blender committers mailing list and it appears they are under the impression the Octane add-on source code has been or will be made available and that they might be incorporating/maintaining it generally. I don't think this is quite right is it or perhaps I am the one who misunderstands the situation? My take is that Otoy are publishing their own exclusive pay for tweaked version of recent Blender releases with proprietary bits in it to pass stuff to/from Octane via the middleman server. :geek: ie Otoy is doing something independant of Blender org. Perhaps this arrangement needs to be clarified between organisations

Hey JimStar, seeing the PS I thought you were referring to a few of us who were asking about the hair/fur feature. I noticed the screenshots had grass in them, I suppose they are instances, but what I wanted to know was whether dynamic hair/fur from Blender could be rendered as well. Thanks!

Hi JimStar,

Is there a Mac osx version of the octanerender for blender available or a demo version?

I apologize if this has already been asked, but I could not find any mention of it in this thread.

First off, thank you SO MUCH for offering this. I am really excited and have loved using it so far.

However, I'm finding the rendering is slower than the stand alone version. Has anyone else experienced this? It seems true for all kernels. It seems like it should at least be the same speed, but not slower.
