Hi, great to hear you guys start the beta!

I am very interested to join the beta-tester club.
My Name is Christian and i am a 24 year old media-design student (8. semester)
from Münster, Germany. Currently i am working on a music-video / visualisation
with C4D R14 and some great plugins like thrausi. In the first tests Octane gave me
stunning results at very low rendertimes but exporting sucks.
This music-video would be my project to test the beta in a full workflow. In addition
i want to test it with some models i got from some other students that study industrial
design and architecture.

I am very expirienced with c4d (started with Version 6) and did some projects with
octane, too. In addition i am interested in programming and wrote some small helper-plugins
and scripts for c4d to make my work more efficient. Maybe this helps to give helpfull
feedback to you. I also develop a video-tutor channel with two friends where we can
offer german video-tutorials for free. Doing some Octane-Render Tutorials would be
very nice!

My test-setup:
Core i7 Quadcore (Ivy), 32GB Ram, Win7 x64 Pro
Geforce GTX460 1GB and Geforce GTX660 2GB
(Maybe, if rendering of the video starts, i will add / replace cards)

Other Test-Setup:
Lenovo W520 Workstation Laptop with Quadro1000m 2GB in optimus configuration

Thanks for reading!

My name is Jules and I am a full time freelance motion designer/video editor
Cinema 4D and After Effects are my tools of choice since 6 years. Great tools but C4D cost me a lot to render even with my configue ( i7 3960x @ 5.0GHZ and 2 GTX 680's SLI ).
I'm allways looking for the best render in a shorter time because of the demande of my customers. I love telling stories with motion design and video but I'm fighting against render time every day.
That's why it will be an honour to help you with this project, I really will enjoy the final release.

As you can see bellow it cost me about 12 minutes to render a single france in a basic scene:

More than 25 hours to render this 3 second scene :

Thank you for your interest everyone. We're very glad to see that this plug-in is in very high demand.

We have now enough candidates and will select the beta testers today. The lucky few wil receive a PM with further instructions.

Thank you and cheers,

Sam

hello,

do you think the Mac version will be developed long after the Windows version?
