what do you mean... there is not even an octane sdk for mac from otoy?
which means working on a mac version hasnt even started?
which means a mac version will take ages?
:? :?

dont want to sound ungrateful... surely there is much to do etc,
and i guess your mac user base is maybe just 10% (is it possible to tell us?)
anyway... dont forget us...

Albeit the Mac user base is even smaller, we haven't forgotten you and a Mac version of the SDK shouldn't be too far away. I assume that Ahmet wrote the plugin mainly using C4D and standard C++ functionality which means that a Mac port of the plugin itself shouldn't take too long either.

Sorry don't quite understand, I own the standalone of OctaneRender and as I understand you need to buy the Plug-in of OctaneRender for Cinema 4D. So is this what we are paying for in the beta? Does this mean the 99.00 Euros paid is the complete cost of this new pug-in and gets transferred to the final edition?

Absent any correction from Aoctar, you are right. The 99 Euros (in addition to the standalone, which you have already bought) is the price for the integrated plugin. The beta release is (excepting those users who are involved in the process) probably a result of the interest shown (drool) and an attempt to keep every one happy. And maybe move some money toward the developer whose going to make us all happy. When the beta appears for sale, I'm going to post it on C4D Cafe and the 3D-Coat forum.

Got Mine! great price, One tiny problem, had to upgrade my C4D Prime R12 to R14 (it also works with R13) (Upgraded to R14 Broadcast this time) so the price was a little higher than I expected. Guess I missed the supported versions memo on the plugin though I am sure it was in here just didnt read about. Any way works great! Looking forward to the final version!
