Otoy® is proud to announce the availability of a new version of OctaneRender® for 3ds max®: Version 1.0 beta 3.03 DEMO.
The world's fastest and most feature rich unbiased render engine that integrates completely into Autodesk® 3ds max®.

3ds max® Version Requirements

This release will only work with 3ds max® Versions 2010, 2011, 2012 & 2013/ 32bit & 64x / Base & Design on MS Windows operating systems.

Notes regarding features/functionality

OctaneRender® for 3ds max® implements all the functionality of the OctaneRender® Standalone inside 3ds Max®.
Any feature that the Standalone edition supports is supported by the 3ds Max® plugin.
This demo supports Tesla (GT2xx architecture), Fermi and Kepler GPUs, (GeForce, Quadro and Tesla lines).
The plug-in does not require the standalone version to be installed.

DEMO LIMITATIONS

- The resolution is limited to 1000x600.
- Water marks (Octane logo + stripes).
- No Live DB access.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

At the moment there is no automatic installation. You have to manually copy the files to 3ds Max.
Please read the installation text file included in the download ZIP file archive.

This version requires Nvidia video driver 301.42 or higher.

DOWNLOAD

We have 4 separate archives available for download, for Autodesk® 3ds max® 2010, 2011, 2012 and 2013.
Each archive contains the manual and installation text file, and both 32bit and x64 versions of the plugin,
so you only need to dowload one archive for your 3ds max® version from the following download links:

3ds max® 2010: http://www.refractivesoftware.com/downl ... 3_demo.zip (50MB ZIP File)

OctaneLive is not used by the demo and with that there is also no access to the Live DB.

Cheers,
Marcus

THX for the fast reply. sorry my bad english. i just want to be sure that i understand everything correct.
There is no Live Data base of material in 3ds max plugin in ALL vesrions.
And if we don't have access to materail database, is there any downloadable materials after purchasing product?

No, there is access to the Live DB in the commercial version of the plugin. You can use materials from the database in Octane for 3dsmax. Only the demo versions (of Octane standalone and the plugin) don't have access.

Marcus
