and not only for C4D, but also for:

- Maya
- Houdini
- LightWave
- SketchUp
- Blender
- Unreal

They are limited to max 1x GPU, and it requires Big Sur 11.2 or greater, with an AMD GPU or Intel SkyLake GPU (Apple M1 GPU support is considered beta/experimental).

Well this is for macOS systems, will there be something the same for Windows ?
I mean the same free tier that OTOY did for Blender and DAZ Studio, a GPU-limited free license for an unlimited period.
Just read somewhere on "Octane" subReddit that OTOY in addition to Blender and DAZ Studio, are going to make the same free tier for other programs, especially for Cinema4D :?
True or not, but I would like to know

Hi,

I have a question regarding greyed out graphics card to render octane in Cinema 4d.
I am running Cinema 4d R20.059 on windows 10. RTX 3080Ti.
Octane render V4.05 R7.
Cuda driver v 11.40.
I can run Octanebench successfully.
I have signed in but for some reason, i can't render, the graphics card list is greyed out.
Device setting doesn't detect any cuda cores.

Hi,
v4 does not have the support for RTX 30X0 Ampere GPUs, since it is based on a very old CUDA version.

To have the RTX 30X0 support, you need to install 2020.2.4.

I started using octane again after a few months off.
I have a standalone all access license.
I don't remember if a network render node is included in my AA license.
I tried to use OctaneRender_Enterprise_2020_2_5_node_win on one machine and OctaneRender_Enterprise_2020_2_5_win on another machine, they connect but the node does not work saying that I have no licenses/subscriptions available.
Do I need to study the configuration or do I not have a network node included in the annual AA license?
Thanks, SimDal

Hi SimDal,
Network rendering license system has changed some time ago.

From v2019.1.x or greater, the Render-Node installer is now separated from the Standalone installer/license, no more included in AA extension, and you don’t need to install Standalone anymore.

For Net render with commercial or subscription Enterprise licenses, you need to purchase extra Render-Node annual licenses for 99€, or pay monthly for 9.99€:
