https://rndr.otoy.com/ says I'm logged in, when downloading embergen 0.5.5.0 via the homepage and try logging in with the my otoy infos, it says not licensed and quits... -.-
Any help?

Edit: I'm on thw all access plan (until 25.12.2020) but also subscribed for the RNDR+. Why are there alway problems with the licensing processß Why can't I download the latest 0.5.6 version from their site and log in with my Otoy account? Losing work time because of such unecessary BS is so frustrating...

Edit: for whatever reason, it worked after downloading and copying the fails again. So we are good here.

I've read the previous posts about the correct workflow for EmberGen to get the volumes to color correctly, but they seem to apply to other plugins, and to previous versions of EmberGen. What is the workflow for Octane Standalone(or for the Lightwave plugin)?

I’m not a LightWave user, but I’m quite sure that it should work almost in the same way.
Here is an example of EmberGen vdb rendered in Standalone 2020.2:

What parameters did you use to get these kind of results? I'm sure that there were adjustments on both Embergen and Octane to get these kind of images. What I see in my in both standalone and the plugin are poorly defined blobs, overexposed flames and no dark smoke.

If I had a starting point, I think I could figure it out, but there are so many variables to set in both EmberGen and Octane, that could spend months trying to figure it out(if I didn't bash my head against a brick wall before then). Keep in mind, I'm just a hobbyist, and I'm just starting with VDBs...

How did you get a handle on how to do it?

Hi,
look at how is made the Gradient Ramp in EmberGen, and try to replicate the same coloring in Octane Volume Gradient/Ramp node, in both Scattering Ramp, and Emission Ramp.
The trick is to always start with a black color from the left.
