About LiveDB, latest OctaneX versions are distributed as free Prime version, to speed up the development, so LiveDB is not availble.
If you are already in macOS 13 Ventura, you need to wait for the upcoming stable version.
If you are still in macOS 12 Monterey, you need to install Studio or Enterprise versions of OctaneX-PR14 in a different C4D version, access to the LiveDB from Pr14, and reopen the scene in 2022.1-RC1.

Beppe

Thanx Beppe
It's working like that, even if not ideal
I'm still on Monterey and on Enterprise, so I used PR14 in R25 as you suggested

Looking forward to have a 100% functional Octane X, also that would help justify the fact that I paid for Entreprise, ahem... ;)

This is super fast on my M1 MacBook Pro especially the DeNoiser which is actually usable now. I was excited to output an ORBX from C4D but unfortunately this does not work as expected. I did a simulation of falling spheres in a cloner. This sim was baked to keyframes and textured and lit very simply in the Octane plugin in C4D. However some of the spheres get cut up weirdly as is shown in the attached screen shots. Orbx file attached

Hi RegSquires,
thanks for the positive Standalone feedback :D

About c4d scene exported in .orbx, could you share the c4d scene with me, even via Private message?

I’ll try and recreate tomorrow and send it through. It’s my bedtime here in Australia. Thanks for getting back

I tried to recreate the scene this morning and I can't get the issue to replicate. Which is a good thing. Perhaps it was intersecting geometry at the start. Not sure. But It seems it works as expected, which is actually really good news
