3.1.1.41 EXPERIMENTAL RELEASE - AWAITING FEEDBACK FROM USERS
- Compiled with Octane 3.01.1
- The Maximum value of the Power of Image maps for Bump maps is now 10
- You can now disconnect the Medium from the Environment Medium pin
- Added new authentication settings window which can be used to activate, and de-activate the plugin
- Changed the default path to user settings from C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Local\OctaneRender for Revit (ie. the Local folder) to C:\Users\[usename]\AppData\Roaming\OctaneRender for Revit (ie. the Roaming folder). This has been done to assist users who login on a network. This only applied when there are no settings found in the Local folder (ie. all new installations will use the Roaming folder). Existing users can leave their settings in the Local folder, or copy them into the Roaming folder - the plugin will work the same way regardless.
- Fixed a bug where materials were not being saved correctly when there were Linked Revit files in the scene. IMPORTANT: This change required re-writing the functions which load and save Octane data to the .rvt file - so pls test this carefully. Make a back of your .rvt files prior to using this version of the plugin with them until you are confident that everything is working correctly.

3.0.20.40 (26-May-2016)
- Compiled with Octane 3.0 (3.0.20)
- Fixed issue where the Reflections shadow pass was not working
- If you have ticked "Use offline licensing on this computer" when authenticating the plugin, you can now click the Deactive button on the OctaneLive tab to de-activate the plugin license
- "Int" nodes can no longer be converted to "Int Resolution" nodes

3.0.10.39 (2-May-2016)
- Compiled with Octane 3 alpha 10 (3.0.10). This means that Render Region is working again, plus many other changes (refer to the Octane Standalone 3 Alpha 10 thread for details)
- Username and password is now not entered or stored in the authentication panel
- Visible Environment pin added to the Rendertarget

3.0.6.38
- Compiled with Octane 3.0 alpha 6. Note the minimum Nvidia driver required is 353

3.0.3.38
- Compiled with Octane 3.0 alpha 3
- Fixed issue where refreshing the Viewport after changing a proxy was causing a Exception. You can now no longer refresh the scene whilst the Geometry Proxy Details dialog is open.
- When adding a family instance to the scene which has a proxy default, the "Is A Proxy" button will now be set correctly, however the material will still not be available for editing until the Viewport is next opened or the scene is Refreshed

3.0.1.37
- Compiled with Octane 3.0 alpha 2
- Added Baking Camera. All geometry in the scene will have the same baking group ID, so this function will be of limited use to Revit users.
- Manual updated with Octane 3 features. Pls see https://docs.otoy.com/Revit/?page_id=643 for details.

3.0.0.36
- Compiled with Octane 3.0.0
- Added Medium and Medium Radius to the Daylight and Texture Environment settings
- Added new Render Passes
- Removed "Ambient" and "Sample Environment" GI Modes from the Direct Light kernel
- Added Deep Image settings to the kernel settings
- Added support for VDB files (add them in proxy ORBX files)

* If your default rendertarget has Render Passes->Info After Beauty ticked, I suggest unticking it and re-saving your default rendertarget

KNOWN ISSUE: If you pause rendering, change an Octane setting, then continue rendering, the Viewport will freeze (and you will need to refresh the scene to restart the Viewport). This will hopefully be fixed by Otoy in the next release of the API.

2.24.2.35
- Compiled with Octane 2.24.2
- Fixed issue where loading an IFC file would raise an exception. Because Revit triggers a "New Scene" event when loading an IFC file, load an IFC file will cause the Octane Viewport and Setup windows to close

2.24.1.34
- Compiled with Octane 2.24.1
- Added option to Paste the Octane camera from the Windows clipboard. This will allow the pasting of a camera from Phantom Photo Match. Pasting is only allowed when the Viewport is open, and Viewport Navigation is enabled.
- Fixed exception being raised when changing the camera type when the Viewport was not open

2.24.0.33
- Increased maximum scatter instances increased from 50000 to 1,000,000
- The Proxy Paste ('P') button now pastes the proxy info to ALL SELECTED elements (which have a 'position' in the scene)

2.24.0.32
- Compiled with Octane 2.24
- Added Help button to the Setup form which opens the plugin manual

2.23.2.31
- Added additional information to the "Error loading OCS/ORBX" message
- Fixed issue where Cuda Device checkbox would be covered by long graphics card names

2.23.2.30
- Compiled with Octane 2.23.2
- Added "Copy Camera to Clipboard" option in the Settings tab to copy the current Octane camera into the Windows clipboard, so you can paste it into Octane Standalone
- Added "Start at Current Frame" and "End Frame" parameters to the Animation tab

*** Added support for Revit 2016 and removed support for Revit 2013.

2.23.1.29
- Compiled with Octane 2.23.1
- Added Scale Textures option on the Octane material panel to scale all texturemaps and procedural textures for the given material simultaneously

2.22.2.28
- Compiled with Octane 2.22.2. Refer to Octane 2.22.2 Standalone release notes for details.
- Pin changes to the Thin Lens and Panoramic camera stereo settings

Paul

Hi Seeker - I haven't had a lot of feedback on the 2.10 version for Revit 2014 yet, but will include a 2015 version with the next release.

Paul

That's a shame! We'll have to remedy that.

I was just asking because I'll only finally be moving over to 2015 in the next week or so.

Best,

I have refreshed the installers at the top of this thread with:

2.12.1.15
- Compiled with Octane 2.12.1
- Added option to import a proxy from an Octane Standalone ORBX file. The ORBX file must have one single unconnected Mesh node in order for the inport to work. Materials for imported ORBX files cannot be edited in the Revit plugin - they need to be edited in Octane Standalone
- Removed Sun Direction from the Node Type combo box (when a Float selected)
- Added ability to save images to files/folders with special characters in them
- Added ability to save images to files/folders with special characters in them
- Added Highlight Compression to the Imager settings (see Standalone release notes for details)
- Changes to render passes as per Octane Standalone
- Added additional Color Correction node pins (see Standalone release notes for details)
- Added new Noise texture node (see Standalone release notes for details)
- Added additional kernel pin Static Noise (see Standalone release notes for details)
- Stopped the "Texture" node being transferred when changing the Environment node from Texture Environment to Daylight (and vise-versa)
- Added "Import Material from LocalDb" button on the Octane Material tab which is the same is importing an ORBX, however the Load File dialog is shortcut to the Octane Local Db folder
- Add "Export Material to LocalDb" button on the Octane Material tab to export the current material to the Octane Local Db

I have refreshed the installers at the top of this thread with:

2.12.1.17
- Added ability to set a proxy as the default for a specific family (via new Set and Unset buttons on the Geometry Proxy Details form). This has had minimal testing, so pls use of non-production scenes until you are comfortable it is working correctly
- Added additional error checking to the "Animate Walkthrough" process

Thanks
