large reolution viewport issues

Hi All,

I've started working with much larger res renders - basically so I can do some post-editing & add some photoshop entourage/styling without zooming on a pixelated image (I was previously working at 1920x1200 max res).

I'm now experiencing the difficulty of viewing the image through the viewport window & needing to pan around the viewport - this is a little annoying: is it possible to have a zoom function on the viewport so you can zoom in & out on the image as it resolves? (50% - 120% or so?)

Thanks,

Andrew

Hi Andrew - have you tried locking the resolution? Then you can set the resolution in the "resolution" node and set the Viewport size to whatever you wish.

Thanks for the quick response Paul,

Please see image for what I'm trying to avoid: this is with viewport locked to my prefered output resoltion, and later resized...
When I unlock any changes to the viewport window directly affect the final image resolution in settings. (I know you know this - just stating what happens at my end for troubleshooting purposes)

p.s. I know viewing a scaled image is probibly not ideal in terms of spotting fireflies, or resolving anything detailed within the image, but it is alot more practical...
I'll try like this for a while and see how I go (I only started rendering res higher than screen resolution today)

thanks,

Andrew

I understand what you are after. There are some small viewport changes going through in the next version, and I can include a "scale" option with those.

I've seen the update with viewport scaling just now; thanks Paul!
